Regardless, this place really does have great whiskey, I love the cinnamon and blended, the Shine is mediocre aside from the sassafras which is great, but the staff needs to show some professionalism.The New Year was marked in Gatlinburg by the closure of one of the popular mountain resort’s moonshine distilleries, when Davy Crockett’s Tennessee Whisky posted a farewell message on its Facebook account and shuttered its doors. I guess I need to be prettier to get offered a sampling. I bought a couple of bottles and my trip was ended by a group of girls walking in, and the male "bartender" yelling " Hey ladies who wants to get drunk for free!!!!". The bartender said " Um yeah I guess what do you want to try" and I said " All of them I guess" she said " Well just pick a couple and decide if you like them." It was disappointing, because last time I found a few that I never imagined I'd like that turned out to be great. This time, I walked in the store, wandered around for a minute looking with no greeting from anyone, noticed some couples "sampling" whiskeys, and walked over and asked if they still did tastings. Our premium-stock greeting cards are 5 x. I was explained every single flavor, told their specials, and wished a good day. Last time, I was greeted and invited to try out a whiskey tasting where a group of us sampled every whiskey from top to bottom, in the fashion the Moonshine Stores do.
